Report of SC34/WG2

1. ISO/IEC 9541, Font information interchange

1.1 Amd.2 to ISO/IEC 9541-2 (Font information interchange - Interchange format)

PDAM text (JTC1/SC34 N844) was approved as shown in Summary of Voting (JTC1/SC34 N868rev). Project editors will, in Kyoto meeting, finalize the ballot disposition and develop FPDAM text according to the disposition.

1.2 Amd.4 to ISO/IEC 9541-1 (Font information interchange - Architecture)

PDAM text (JTC1/SC34 N845) was approved as shown in Summary of Voting (JTC1/SC34 N869rev). Project editors will, in Kyoto meeting, finalize the ballot disposition and develop FPDAM text according to the disposition.

1.3 Harmonization to ISO/IEC 14496-22

After the publication of ISO/IEC 14496-22, fonts editors and experts have been studying the harmonization between ISO/IEC 9541 and ISO/IEC 14496-22 and found the following requirements for amendments to ISO/IEC 9541.

Those requirements were summarized and submitted as WG2 N288 and N293 respectively.

1.4 Defect report on ISO/IEC 14496-22

Fonts editors and experts reviewed ISO/IEC 14496-22 and found some defects on it. They drafted a defect report and submitted it as WG2 N289 for forwarding it to SC29/WG11.

1.5 Reviewing OOXML

Fonts editors and experts reviewed DIS text of OOXML and found some insufficiency of the specification on its fonts. They are planning to provide their comments in its maintenance phase.

2. ISO/IEC 24754, Minimum requirements for specifying document rendering systems

FCD text (JTC1/SC34 N814) was approved as shown in Summary of Voting (JTC1/SC34 N867). Project editors will, in Kyoto meeting, finalize the ballot disposition and develop FDIS text according to the disposition.
