New energy management standard helps Canadian businesses cut costs

The world's first global energy management system standard is now available to Canadians. The new standard, ISO 50001, Energy management systems – Requirements with guidance for use, helps businesses cut costs and remain competitive in today’s marketplace by outlining best practices for streamlining energy consumption. ISO 50001 specifies requirements for the measurement of current energy use and the implementation of an energy measurement system to document, report and validate ongoing improvements in energy management.
