SCC-accredited laboratories to ensure safety of imported livestock feed

Working with Canadian Border Services, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has instituted a measure that requires livestock feed originating from China to be tested for melamine and cyanuric acid, prior to entry into Canada. CFIA has specified that testing be conducted by laboratories accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
