ISO standard expected to save homeowners money

2011-06-07

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has released a new standard to assess the energy conservation of residential windows. The standard (ISO 18292:2011), entitled Energy performance of fenestration systems for residential buildings – Calculation procedure, is expected to save homeowners money by giving the fenestration industry a reliable way of assessing the energy performance of products before they go to market. Product certification bodies may also purchase ISO 18292:2011 directly from the Standards Store.
