Canadian Norma McCormick reappointed as Chair of international Committee on Consumer Policy

The Standards Council of Canada is pleased to congratulate Canadian Norma McCormick on being appointed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to a second term of office as Chair of ISO’s Committee on Consumer Policy (COPOLCO). The committee studies the many ways in which consumers can benefit from standardization, how best to promote the positive role of standards in consumer protection, and how to channel consumers’ views into standards projects in areas of particular interest to them. McCormick served as Chair of the Standards Council of Canada’s (SCC) Consumer and Public Interest Committee and is a member of the Canadian Standards Association’s (CSA) Strategic Steering Committee on Occupational Safety and Health.
