Standard for Underground Storage of CO2 World's First

Progress is being made on the world’s first standard to address underground storage of carbon dioxide (CO₂). The standard will provide essential guidelines for regulators, industry players and other professionals around the world that are working with scientific and commercial, carbon capture and storage projects. A bi-national technical committee (Canada-U.S. experts) expects to complete review of the standard in short-order so that public discussions can begin and the standard can be available by early in 2012.
