Standards Council of Canada Releases Procedural Document on Canadian Participation in ISO and IEC

2011-12-13

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) has released CAN-P-7, the procedural document for Canadian participation in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This document replaces several procedural documents with one single policy document that provides guidance on how Canadians participate in international standards development committees.

In an effort to provide orientation and training to both new and experienced Canadian technical experts on CAN-P 7, SCC is in the final stages of completing a web based training module. The module will outline the requirements for participation in international standard development activities and will assist technical experts in continuing to be valuable contributors to Canada’s national standardization network through their work at the international level.

For more information on CAN-P-7 contact Keith Jansa, Program Manager, International Standards Development, at [email protected].
