BNQ Director Jacques Girard named Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres of France

On behalf of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the members of Canada's National Standards System, congratulations to Mr. Jacques Girard, Director of the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) for receiving the honour of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres of France from the French Minister of Culture, Mr. Frédéric Mitterrand. Based on the recommendation of the Délégation Générale à la Langue Française et aux Langues de France (DGLFLF), this distincition recognizes the many contributions made by Mr. Girard over the years to the enrichment of the French language and culture within the world of standardization.
