Asset Publisher FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2010-03-29 Young Professionals Competition accepting submissionsOttawa, Ontario (March 29th, 2010) – The Standards Council of Canada is pleased to announce that on behalf of the Canadian National Committee (CNC) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) it is now accepting submissions to the IEC Young Professionals 2010 Workshop Competition. The competition is designed to recognize and encourage young professionals who work for industry, government, academia, consumer organizations, or any entity within the Canadian standards and conformity assessment community that uses, benefits from, or contributes to the IEC’s work in electrotechnical standardization. The two young professionals chosen to represent Canada at the IEC 2010 General Meeting from October 11-13 in Seattle, Washington, will receive:
The young professionals that are selected to represent Canada will benefit from the networking, valuable knowledge, and influence that this unique opportunity will have on their immediate and future career development. Submissions to the IEC Young Professionals 2010 Workshop Competition will be accepted over a one month period from March 29th to April 30th, 2010. Please note that the submission deadline for this competition has been extended by 2 weeks; to qualify, entries must be received no later than May 21st, 2010.
