Standards Development Organizations (SDO) are bodies that specialize in the development of standards through the process of consensus and participate in the regional and international standardization process. The SCC has accredited for SDOs in Canada. They are the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ), the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC).
