Draft plan of the future parts of UOML

It has been decided by OASIS UOML-X TC that the brief scope of UOML Part 2
is about document security. Draft scope is as follow:
Part 2 is based on Part 1, defines instructions used for document security
control operations, including DRM, identification, access control, priority
management, digital signature, and electronic seal, etc.

The following parts have not been decided till now:

Possible part #1: extended operations
UOML Part 1 has defined basic instructions for layout operations, this part
defines instructions for combined operations, such as copying/moving
documents, merging/separating/extracting documents or pages, and
instructions for operating extended information, such as navigation, thread,
thumbnail and hyperlink.

Possible part #2: harmonization among application softwares
This part defines instructions and guideline for various application
softwares, which come from different vendors, to collaborate closely and
provide harmonious user experience, it includes embedding editorial
document, setting up and maintaining the mapping relationship between the
embedded editorial document and its layout information, setting up the
associated relationship between the editorial document and its editing
software, automatically invoking the associated editing software to edit the
editorial document of specific part on a page, unifying user interface, etc.

Possible part #3: query
This part defines unified instructions of querying in the complex and
enormous docbase data. These instructions provide multiple query methods,
such as querying based on font, size, position and other layout information,
instead of only full text and meta data search.
