Major activities mainly taken by SC34/WG2 after the last meeting are shown:
The CD text of the ISO/IEC 24754-2 was approved with several comments from Germany, India and Japan. The project editor is requested to provide his disposition of the comments. It should be prepared in the WG2 Tokyo meeting.
In accordance with the recommendation of the last WG2 meeting, the editors of ISO/IEC 9541-1, 2, 3 (2nd editions) are drafting FCD texts. They have not yet been completed in Sept. 2010.
The DIS text of UOML part 1 version 1.0 (ISO/IEC DIS 14297) was disapproved. The ballot disposition will be discussed in the BRM to be held in Sept. 10 and 11, 2010.
Responding to the liaison statement WG2 N382 (SC34 N1401) on ISO/IEC 10646:2003/FPDAM8, SC2 forwarded a liaison statement WG2 N390 (SC34 N1481). It will be reviewed in the WG2 Tokyo meeting.
There have been telephone discussions on the defect reports on OOXML fonts. Some corrigenda will soon be developed by WG4.
There have been some progresses in the development of a Japanese domestic standard on extension to font reference. It will be shown for information for a future candidate of NP.
