Opportunity to participate on CAC/ISO/TC 127 (Earth-moving machinery)

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested stakeholders representing government, industry, regulators and consumers to participate on its Canadian Advisory Committee for the development of international standards on Earth-moving machinery.

Mr. Dan Roley, International Chairman of ISO/TC 127 will be pleased to meet with potential stakeholders at their convenience.  SCC is offering its Boardroom for a presentation, if necessary

Scope of work

Standardization of nomenclature, use classification, ratings, technical requirements and test methods, safety requirements, operation, maintenance manual format for earth-moving and related machinery.

- Compact tool carrier for interchangeable attachment and equipment;
- Sustainability;
- Skid steer loader attachment coupler;
- Telehandlers;
- Underground mining
- Earth-moving machinery and building construction.

Deadline for submission
Interested parties should submit their Curriculum Vitae along with a statement outlining their ability to contribute to the work of the committee by February 28, 2010.
