Risk Management (Proposed ISO Work Item)

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested stakeholders to participate and comment on a work item—proposed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)—to develop an international standard on "General Guidelines for Principles and Implementation of Risk Management".

The purpose of the proposed international standard is to establish a common concept of risk management process and common related concepts; provide practical guidelines on how to implement risk management, identify and treat all types of risk; treat and manage identified risks; improve an organization's performance through risk management and raise awareness of the need to treat and manage risk in organizations.
