Asset Publisher 2007-06-27 Opportunity to participate on committee developing standards for Marine Energy - Wave and Tidal Energy Converters (CSC/IEC/TC 114)The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested parties representing industry, regulators and consumers to participate in its Canadian sub-committee on Marine Energy – Wave and Tidal Energy Converters (CSC/IEC/TC 114). Scope of CSC/IEC/TC 114The sub-committee will review and develop international standards, technical specifications and technical reports in the areas of Marine Energy – Wave and Tidal Energy Converters. The scope of the work involves performance measurement of energy converters, technical reports on energy resource assessment, specification and design of grid interface for energy converters, and testing of energy converters and certification schemes. The Standards Council of Canada is seeking technical experts that have a stake in the implementation and would like to participate in the review and drafting of related standards. Deadline for submissionInterested parties should submit their Curriculum Vitae along with a statement outlining their interests and ability to contribute to the work of CSC/IEC/TC 114 by August 24, 2007.
