Opportunity to participate on committee developing standards for Freight Containers (CAC/ISO/TC 104)

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested parties to participate in its committee on Freight Containers (CAC/ISO/TC 104) and, represent the following membership categories: consumers, industry, regulators and manufacturers.

Scope of CAC/ISO/TC 104

The committee reviews and develops standards on the topic of freight containers, having an external volume of one cubic meter (35.3 cubic feet) and greater, as regards terminology, classification, dimensions, specifications, handling, test methods and marking. 

The Standards Council of Canada is looking for technical experts that would like to participate in the review and drafting of related standards for ISO/TC/104 as well as the following subcommittees: SC1 (General Purpose Containers); SC2 (Specific Purpose Containers); SC4 (Identification and Communication).

Deadline for submission

Interested parties should submit their Curriculum Vitae along with a statement outlining their interests and ability to contribute to the work of CAC/ISO/TC 104 by September 31, 2007.
