Cosmetics (CAC/ISO/TC 217)

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested parties to participate on the Cosmetics (CAC/ISO/TC 217) technical committee and represent the following membership categories: consumers, industry, regulators and manufacturers.

The scope of CAC/ISO/TC 217 is:
Standardization in the field of cosmetic products.
The Standards Council of Canada is looking for technical experts from the various Canadian companies that have a stake in the implementation of this technology to participate in the review and drafting of standards.

    * Participation in sub-committees
    * Ability to submit their own initiatives through the Standards Council of Canada
    * Attendance of selected events and committee meetings

What is Expected?

    * Active participation, commitment and a willingness to undertake committee work and prepare required reports and meeting documents.
    * Ability and willingness to meet and respect deadlines and follow SCC procedures, directives and terms of reference.
    * Ability to travel and attend meetings nationally and internationally.
    * Commitment to participate in committee work electronically and in-person.
    * Time, resources, and financial support to actively participate on committees.
    * Represent stakeholder groups and views. Consult with their constituency and bring their concerns to the table.
    * Ability to work within a group environment.
    * Possess knowledge related to the committee or group.

Individuals are invited to submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with a statement outlining their interests and ability to contribute to the work of the "CAC/ISO/TC 217" to the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) by January 6, 2005.
