Plastics (CAC/ISO/TC 61)

Seeking technical experts from various organizations having a stake in the implementation of standards in the area of plastics. Interested parties would sit on the Canadian “Plastics” technical committee  (CAC/ISO/TC 61) and would represent the interests of consumers, industry, regulators and manufacturers.

Individuals are invited to submit their curriculum vitae along with a statement outlining interests and ability to contribute to the work of this committee by March 31, 2006.

Scope of CAC/ISO/TC 61

    * Standardization of nomenclature
    * Methods of test
    * Specifications applicable to materials and products in the field of plastics

What is Expected?

    * Possess the technical knowledge and or experience related to the subject matter
    * Active participation, commitment and a willingness to undertake committee work and prepare required reports and meeting documents in an electronic environment
    * Ability and willingness to meet and respect deadlines and follow SCC procedures, directives and committee terms of reference
    * Represent stakeholder groups and views
    * Consult with your constituency and bring their concerns to the table.
