Space data and information transfer systems (CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 13) and Space systems and operations (CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 14)

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is seeking interested parties to participate in the committees that deal with Space data and information transfer systems (CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 13) and Space systems and operations (CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 14).  Representation is required from the following membership categories: consumers, industry, regulators and manufacturers.

The scope of CAC/ISO/TC 20 is: the standardization of materials, components and equipment for construction and operation of aircraft and space vehicles as well as equipment used in the servicing and maintenance of these vehicles.

The Standards Council of Canada is looking for technical experts from various organizations that have a stake in the implementation of this technology to participate in the review and drafting of standards.

    * Mailings of draft standards for information and comment
    * Ability to submit initiatives through the Standards Council of Canada
    * Attendance of selected events and committee meetings

What is Expected?

    * Possess the technical knowledge and/or experience related to the subject matter.
    * Active participation, commitment and a willingness to undertake committee work and prepare required reports and meeting documents in an electronic environment.
    * Ability and willingness to meet and respect deadlines and follow SCC procedures, directives and committee terms of reference.
    * Represent stakeholder groups and views.  Consult with constituency and bring their concerns to the table.

Individuals are invited to submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with a statement outlining their interests and ability to contribute to the work of the CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 13 and CAC/ISO/TC 20/SC 14 to the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) by December 31, 2005.
