Underwriters Laboratories steps up anti-counterfeiting efforts

Counterfeit electrical products can pose significant safety hazards and, left undetected, can cause fatal or serous injuries and substantial property loss. To combat the counterfeiting of its certification marks, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is expanding its anti-counterfeiting efforts with the launch of its Criminal Enforcement Program.
