Q: Why choose an SCC-accredited certification body?

A:

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) assesses certification bodies for their competence to make certification decisions in areas covered by their scopes of accreditation, and ensures that their quality systems are evaluated for service delivery that is consistent with accreditation requirements. Each of the SCC’s programs is based on international standards and guides. Policies and procedures used by the SCC for accreditation purposes are defined within its procedural documents (known as CAN-Ps). To choose a certification body that is accredited by the SCC, visit the Programs and Services section.
