Q: What is a certification mark?

A:

A certification mark is a registered mark that certification bodies license to companies to use to demonstrate the companies’ products conformance to a certain standard. Certification marks contain the logo of an accredited product certification body, a well-known example being the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The logo of the certification body is used on products that meet specific standards to let consumers know the product has been approved.
