The European Community for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) is an international body that works with technical professionals from 22 countries to issue standards pertaining to the European market. Although CENELEC works towards European harmonization, it is influential at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), where the SCC represents Canada.
