Major activities mainly taken by SC34/WG2 after the last meeting are shown:
Before publication of ISO/IEC TR 24754-2, ITTF contacted with SC34 secretariat and project editors showing his concern on the title and numbering of existing ISO/IEC 24754:2008. In accordance with their discussion (see SC34/WG2 N419), ISO/IEC 24754/Cor.1 was published in Aug. 2011. The Cor.1 shows the new title and numbering:
ISO/IEC 24754-1 Information technology - Document description and processing languages - Minimum requirements for specifying document rendering systems - Part 1: Feature specifications for document rendering systems.
The project editors had checked the proofreading text. The ISO/IEC TR 24754-2 will soon be published.
After the last WG2 meeting, the project editors of ISO/IEC 9541-1, 2, 3 (2nd editions) have updated the proposed FCD texts to create the final texts for FCD processing. The major changes are updates on foreword and introduction texts (see SC34/WG2 N420).
Responding our liaison statement SC34/WG2 N405 (SC34 N1601), SC29/WG11 forwarded its statement SC34/WG2 N427 (SC34 N1663). For further discussion, Dr. Suzuki is planning to participate into the next SC29/WG11 meeting.
A Japanese domestic standard on extension to font reference has been developed. Japanese national body is planning to submit an NP on this topic.
10036 RA was informed of an OID update on ISO/IEC 10036, Procedures for registration of font-related identifiers.
